I went catfishing! I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE Catfishing! That's what I like doing on warm summer nights. The first one I caught that night was a channel cat. They are more silver with black spots. Sorry no pic, I had it on land then the hook came out so I just kicked it back in. I don't like them as much as flatheads. They are my favorite fish ever to catch. That's the kind in my picture. I love flatheads! They are the largest of the cats in the Allegheny River. I think the Blues are the biggest in the US. To bad Blues don't live around these parts!
This brings back a lot of memories. My ex loved to fish and we loved to eat fresh fish. On top of that we were raised Catholic so we did alot of fish. Remember ex catching big cats and making catfish steaks. Can almost see those pliers that he used to skin them.
ReplyDeleteThe family catches a lot of flatheads and channel cats here! Ever once in a while a blue will sneak in but we usually don't eat those. When my son gets his vacation he has promised to take me camping and we hope to catch some cats out of the ole Green River!
